How to Forward SMS Messages on iPhones

This guide walks you through setting up SMS forwarding directly via SMS or iMessage messages using the shortcode feature on your iPhone.

No app installation is required for this!

1. Add New Automation

2. Select "Message" as Automation

3. Configure Which Messages Are Forwarded

• Configure Forwarding:
  1. Optionally, select a sender whose messages will be forwarded
  2. Optionally, select a message content to filter which messages are forwarded
  3. Select "Run Immediately"
  4. Click "Next" (top right)

4. Select "New Empty Automation"

5. Select "Send Message"

6. Configure Message Sending

• Important:
  1. Tap into the first input field
  2. Scroll to the right through the variables above the keyboard and select "Shortcut Input"
  3. Select the recipient in the second field and add them
  4. Tap "Done"

9. Your SMS messages will now be forwarded!
